Disney Foodie Vacation Bucket List

Disney Foodie Vacation Bucket List

Consider this your Disney Food Bucket List. We love food. A lot. We cook, we bake, we rate donuts on a 5-point scale and share our findings on Trip Advisor. For us, any vacation is as much about the food as it is about the destination. And Walt Disney World is no exception. So, what do we look forward to eating when we go to Walt Disney World?

Mind you we have certain Disney restaurants we absolutely LOVE and book often. But we’ve also added things on this list we know about but have not yet tried, so in true Bucket List fashion this may take a few years for us to check off completely.

We’ve separated these out by park so that you can take a quick glance no matter where you are to see what delights await!

We’ve noted if it’s Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack, and if there’s a certain menu item we love or are dying to try.
If you have any foodie bucket list items that you’re excited to try let us know!

Magic Kingdom

Be Our Guest
▢Breakfast
▢Lunch
▢Dinner
This is our #1 Disney Restaurant Recommendation most of the time! The breakfast is perfection. A combination of a light protein rich meal and a dish of pastries plus coffee and tea makes this everything you need to get your day off to a fun, relaxing, yes-I-am-on-vacation start! The lunch has items that will make you re-think dinner plans! Large portions and hearty fare always offer us a great reason to get out of the heat and just go unwind. And if you’re up for an elegant dinner, Be Our Guest will be serving it with wine. We love the quinoa and salmon.

Crystal Palace
▢Breakfast
Our favorite characters, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet visit during the meals served at Crystal Palace. A buffet dining experience there is always plenty of food to choose from. We like Crystal Palace because you rarely get the whole Pooh Bear gang in one place.

Liberty Tree Tavern
▢Thanksgiving Meal
▢Oooey gooey cake
▢Cappuccino
As an American I have to say frequenting Liberty Tree Tavern was not necessarily the top thing on my list, BUT.. this place has the nicest people, the best food, and seriously the best cappuccino I have ever had at Disney. Have it alongside their famous Ooey Gooey Cake and you’re good to go. Word of warning, don’t plan on eating the Thanksgiving dinner and the cake in the same sitting. This is a lot of food and is better as a dinner stop and a dessert stop separately.

Diamond Horseshoe
▢ S’ mores Brownie

Sleepy Hollow
▢ Nutella Waffle
Right across the midway from the Christmas Shoppe in Frontierland, catty corner from Cinderella’s castle the small Sleepy Hollow snack window has funnel cake ( not that amazing) and the famous nutella waffle with fruit- so yummy, and perfect if you’re waiting for a late parade or fireworks show.

Aloha Isle
▢Dole Whip

Epcot

Epcot World Showcase is one of our favorite places! We’ve been during The International Festival of the Arts , Flower and Garden Festival and Food and Wine . While we make a priority to get to as many food carts as we can during all these festivals there are a few things we always make sure to have when we are at Epcot.

Mexico
San Angel Inn Restaurante
▢Enchiladas
▢Churros
Housed inside the Mexico Pavilion this restaurant has authentic Mexican, overlooks the Gran Fiesta Tour ride, and is situated under string lights in a darkened courtyard. We like the enchiladas, tortilla and dip appetizer and the churros.

France
Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie
▢Nutella Donut
▢Neopolitan
▢Macaron with Raspberry and Lime Cream
We are always sure to visit our favorite little french cafe. Tucked away in the back of France at Epcot you can get an authentic cappuccino, croissant sandwiches for breakfast or lunch, or just stop to grab a pastry.

L’artisan Des Glaces
▢Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches

Future World
Garden Grill with Chip and Dale
▢Breakfast

We just recently experienced Garden Grill. For the price, this place rivals only the Whispering Canyon Cafe regarding budget and value. Served family style you can keep the food coming and while the strawberry shortcake is worth it we can’t get enough of the cute interactions with Chip and Dale!

Norway

Kringla
▢School Bread
▢Troll Horn

Germany

Karamell-Kushe
▢Caramel turtle brownie
▢Caramel Popcorn

We love everything at this German Werther’s Shop, and find our left over snack credits always go to good use here.

Biergarten

An authentic German meal served buffet style at Biergarten is filled with sharing a table with people you don’t know and breaking into song. Oy, Oy, Oy…

America

Fife and Drum
▢American Dream Slushy

A slushy plus ice cream cold drink, perfect for hot days is a must have. Striped red, white and blue you will surely get asked where you got this star spangled snack.

Italy

Via Napoli
▢Quattro Fromaggi Pizza

Boardwalk

Trattoria al Forno
▢Chocolate Torte
▢Bon Voyage Breakfast

Ample Hills Creamery
▢Root Beer Float with Rum
▢Oooey Gooey Ice Cream

Hollywood Studios

Sci-Fi Dine In Restaurant
▢Milkshakes

Watch a movie in an old fashioned car, some old vintage flicks and eat in the dark like you’re at the drive in. We know crazies who book this place just for the milkshake. It’s that awesome and this is always a good retreat from the heat or rain.

Hollywood & Vine
▢Minnie’s Holiday Dine

50’s Prime Time Café
▢PB & J milkshake

Get ready for some down home awkwardness. Personal boundaries don’t exist here so be ready to get chummy. The food is great and the waitstaff are tired of working- they’ll tell you about it. Just ask.

Starring Rolls Cafe
▢Butterfinger Cupcake

Animal Kingdom

Yak and Yeti
▢Won tons
▢Dim Sum

Royal Anandapur Tea Company
▢Chai Tea Slushy

Wild Africa Trek
▢Tin Picnic Lunch

You have to actually book the Wild Africa Trek for this lunch. But it’s on the African Savanna, arrives in adorable tins, and you get our absolutely favorite drink, POG, chilled to perfection. There is a vegetarian option, just ask.

Kidani Village
▢Frozen POG

Pandora: Pongu Pongu
▢Night Blossom ( yummy, with or without boba balls)
▢Pineapple Lampu

Disney Resort Restaurants

Grand Floridian
Garden View Tea Room
▢High tea

1900 Park Fare
▢Dinner
This is probably our favorite character dining experience at dinner because Lady Tremaine and the Evil Stepsisters have these characters nailed! We can never stop laughing when these ladies visit our table, it is truly impressive how well they can improv. This is another buffet experience but totally worth it for the fun experience. You can also visit this restaurant for breakfast to see the practically perfect in every way, Mary Poppins, and Alice alongside the Mad Hatter.

The Polynesian
▢Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show

Ohana
▢Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch
▢Ohana Bread Pudding

Tambu Lounge
▢Lapu Lapu

Kona Cafe
▢Tonga toast
▢Flight of Mimosas

Pineapple Lanai
▢Dole Whip

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Sanaa
▢Bread Service

We can never stop raving about Sanaa, seriously one of the best restaurants on Disney property. Be sure to try it.

Contemporary Resort

California Grill
▢Brunch

Wilderness Lodge

Trails End
▢Breakfast pizza

Whispering Canyon Cafe
▢Bottomless Milkshake

Port Orleans

Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory
▢Beignets
▢French Toast with Peaches

The Yacht Club

Yachtsman Steakhouse
▢Charcuterie
▢Steak ( some say the best steak on the WDW property)

Disney Springs

▢Wolfgang Puck Express Pizza
▢Earl of Sandwich
▢Bongos
▢Sprinkles Cupcake ATM
▢Boathouse | Baked Alaska
And if you don’t relish the joy of a foodie vacation because you have food allergies or a gluten intolerance, check out this quick guide to gluten-free menu items available at Walt Disney World. Note: These are only by request and not on the regular menu so chat with the restaurant to make sure these items are available during your visit.
